Only if you know what you are doing and can manipulate the market with your knowledge.

If you think you have it in you to be a day trader it is more quickly rewarding than a business, and lets face it … in today’s market, starting a business is usually just going to be a drain on your wallet.

You have to be sure that you have a plan with day trading though

practice a day or two on a free stock trading website. Or weeks… honestly… I’m up 30% this year but who knows… I have to be careful. I don’t play every day either.
    I use wallstreetsurvivor.com

I would day trade, I work at a hedge fund, but I don’t have enough money to do so.

I assume you are speaking about currency or forex trading??

Day trading is very risky, and involves a good amount of luck as well as requiring a lot of knowledge.

Yes, if you are very good you can make a lot of money, but unless you have a strong background in the financial world I would recognise against it. If you do want to trade rather start out with long term trading on stocks and shares as it has a much lower risk level, they the high leverage offered by forex trading.

They say day trading is a good way to live a short life. The thing is that although it MIGHT give you a good start if you’re really lucky and can keep on top of it, it’s an incredibly stressful path to take and the stress every day can end up shortening your life, not to mention giving you some horrendous stress sicknesses. A business on the other hand, has a slow start but it pays off a lot larger in the end… that and it’s also a lot more fun. So the question is do you want a short term possible gain with the possibility of losing everything you own in one corporate mistake, or do you want a more relaxed life where it’s harder work at first but majorly pays off in the end?

the market is a game, you will lose some and you will win some. you need experience and there is really no solidity to it. with a business you have products and you will have a demand, hopefully you picked the right product to sell and you won’t see a point where no one buys anything.
Normally i would say go with a business, but in todays economy a start up will be hard
With the market low, buying in is easy, but don’t day trade, buy in and sit on it for a little while, you might make or lose money.
    good luck
